Online Convention Information
ONLINE CONVENTION WILL BE OPEN July 26-Aug 16, 2010
Each delegate will login to the convention via the username and password sent to them once they have been registered online by their Pastor or NYI President.
Once again the Dallas NYI Convention will take place online. All business, reporting, and elections will take place via the online system.
Each local church is responsible for holding an annual NYI meeting as usual to elect delegates for the online convention as noted below. (NYI Charter – Local Ministry Plan IV:3.1 & 3.2)
NYI Charter – District Ministry Plan IV, Section 3 – District NYI Convention:
- All local NYI delegates to the District NYI Convention must be members of the Church of the Nazarene that they represent.
- The number of local NYI delegates for each church is determined by the membership figures on the most recent local Pastor’s Report prior to the District Assembly.
- The local NYI delegation to the District NYI Convention for churches consists of:
o The pastor and youth pastor or any full-time paid pastoral staff who participate in NYI ministry;
o The newly-elected local NYI President;
o Up to four elected delegates, with at least half being within the district-established NYI ministry focus;
o Local churches may add an additional delegate for each successive 30 local NYI members and/or final major part of those 30 members (i.e., 16-29 members). At least half of any additional delegates must be also within the district-established NYI ministry focus.

*Number of delegates from a local NYI does not include ex officio delegates (Local NYI President, pastor, youth pastor, District NYI Council members from a local church).
Once local church elections have taken place the Pastor or NYI President is responsible for registering the delegates online per instructions that will be sent to each Pastor and NYI President.

Online registration of delegates opens July 26, 2010. This must be completed by the Pastor or NYI President.
